BO Powder Metal is a China-based powder metallurgy manufacturer dedicated to a single idea: making precision metal parts simpler, cheaper and better through powder technology. Since our founding we have grown into a full-service supplier that covers the complete powder metallurgy value chain – raw powder selection, tool design, compaction, sintering, sizing, secondary machining, heat treatment and surface finishing.
The name on our homepage is also our promise: your one stop metal solution supplier. Our customers do not want to juggle a tool maker, a powder supplier, a sintering house, a machine shop and a plating vendor. They want one partner who owns the result. That is what we built our company to be.
Our Mission
To help manufacturers around the world replace expensive, wasteful and design-limiting metalworking processes with high-quality powder metallurgy solutions – and to make that transition easy, transparent and reliable.
What We Do
- Consult and design. We review your part for powder-metallurgy manufacturability, recommend materials and propose the most cost-effective process route.
- Build the tooling. Precision compaction dies and cores are designed in CAD and manufactured to tight tolerances in-house.
- Blend and compact. Iron, steel, stainless, bronze and soft magnetic powders are blended with lubricants and alloying elements, then pressed into green compacts at controlled density.
- Sinter and densify. Continuous and batch furnaces bond the particles at temperatures up to 1,150 °C under protective atmosphere, with optional sizing, coining or infiltration to reach higher density.
- Finish and verify. CNC machining, drilling, tapping, steam treatment, heat treatment, plating, coating and full metrology complete the part.
Our Facility
Our plant is organised into four zones: tooling, compaction, sintering and finishing, supported by an independent metrology laboratory. Key equipment includes:
- Hydraulic and mechanical compacting presses across a wide tonnage range, from small precision parts up to large structural components
- Continuous mesh-belt and pusher sintering furnaces with controlled reducing atmosphere
- Steam treatment, vacuum heat treatment and tempering capability
- CNC turning and milling centres for secondary operations
- Coordinate measuring machines, optical comparators, hardness testers, density meters and metallographic equipment

Jianjun You
Bachelor’s degree from Central South University, majoring in Powder Metallurgy. Formerly served as Chief Engineer of Chongqing Huafu Industry Co., Ltd. During that period, completed one year of advanced studies in Germany (powder metallurgy forming technology). Over 30 years of experience in powder metallurgy.
Honggang Yang
Bachelor’s degree from Central South University, majoring in Powder Metallurgy. Formerly served as Head of the R&D Office and Deputy Department Director of Chongqing Huafu Industry Co., Ltd. Over 20 years of experience in powder metallurgy.
Wuyi Guo
Bachelor’s degree, majoring in Mechanical Manufacturing. Joined the workforce in 2003. Formerly served as Director of the Engineering Department and the Production Department of Chongqing Huafu Industry Co., Ltd. Over 20 years of experience in powder metallurgy.
Dai Bing
Bachelor’s degree, majoring in Mechanical Manufacturing. Joined the workforce in 2003. Formerly served as Head of the Quality Inspection Department of Chongqing Lihua Technology Co., Ltd., and Director of the Enterprise Quality Management Office of Chongqing Huafu Industry Co., Ltd. 18 years of experience in quality management.

At BO Powder Metal, quality is built into every batch — from raw powder inspection to final dimensional report. Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 (Certificate No. J23Q28020085R1M, issued by GICG, UK), and we are in the final stage of IATF 16949 certification to meet the full requirements of automotive OEMs and tier-one suppliers.

Quality Policy
Quality is not an inspection step at the end of the line – it is built into the process. Our quality management system operates to ISO 9001:2015-aligned processes, and automotive programmes follow IATF 16949 practices. Every production lot is tracked from powder batch to finished part, and we provide PPAP, material certificates and dimensional reports on request.
Our measurement and control points include:
- Incoming powder chemistry and apparent density
- Green density and weight control at the press
- Sintering temperature, belt speed and atmosphere records
- Dimensional inspection using CMM, optical measurement and go/no-go gauges
- Hardness, density, metallography and tensile property verification
- Corrosion and coating thickness testing for plated parts
